SERVICE
Sprinklers, like your car, need to be checked and serviced.
Sprinkler HEADS can be cracked or broken when
they come in contact with cars, bikes, animals or even people's big feet.
Heads can get knocked out of adjustment, so instead of watering your plants,
they end up watering the driveway, your neighbour's car, or
the side of your house, which, over time will damage the paint.
As your PLANTS GROW, the larger ones may block
others from getting proper water. Heads need to be raised up.
MECHANICAL parts, like valves, wear out after time and
need to be replaced.
The WIRING from the valves to the clock can be accidentally cut,
chewed by animals or corroded over time.
Sprinkler and service LINES can be cracked or broken
from tree roots or during gardening.
PRO SPRINKLERS' service calls are done by 2 men
with the use of two-way radios.
During these service call we will:
- Turn on and check all stations.
- Adjust heads that may have gotten turned
or knocked out of alignment.
- Repair or replace damaged heads and check for clogged heads.
- Raise heads where plants have overgrown them,
or lower heads if plants have been trimmed back or removed.
- Check valves to make sure they are not leaking and
that they are going on and off properly. Leaking valves may go
unnoticed, especially if they are in vaults.
- Check the lines for breaks. Underground leaks are not
usually evident right away and, if left unattended, can not only
result in high water bills, but could lead to more damage from the
excess underground water. Breaks in a line or broken heads
will also reduce the pressure on the line causing the
sprinklers to weaken and not provide full coverage.
- Check the clock and the electrical.
Wires can be cut accidentally or become corroded over time,
resulting in one or more of your stations not operating.
- We will reset your clock for the season.
Proper watering times are so important
to maintaining your landscape.
We recommend service at least every other month
during the warmer months,
less in the winter.
You can call us when you need service, or
you might prefer to be added to our Scheduled Service List,
in which case we will automatically check your property every month or
every other month, whichever you decide.
And please keep in mind,
if your change the design of your landscape, add new plants,
install a swing set or some other type of permanent lawn fixture
that would block existing heads,
your sprinklers will need to be changed as well.
